Fahrenheit 451 Book Cover Redesign
When redesigning the cover of a classic like Fahrenheit 451, my main objective was to diverge from what has been done in the past. I strived to express heat, fire and rebellion without using actual fire or human visuals. That also left out the obvious color choice of red, so I opted for orange which I think gave off a more Si-Fi look in the end. Instead I played around with the font on the cover, in a way that may read as smoke or heat waves. Though matches may not be mentioned in the book, match strikers were added on the spine to again create the idea of fire and burning. On the back I used a "flammable" label to portray the rebellious aspect of the book.
